Tell Us How You Met??
Me & Jamie met in a bar in Stourbridge, believe it or not, it was the same bar where my mom and dad had their wedding reception 25 years prior... what a coincidence!
How Did The Proposal Go?
It was at the top of the Malvern Hills, Jamie proposed on HIS 30th birthday, he got down on one knee and asked if I could give him the best gift of all.. to be his wife! I had on wellies, a mud-stained coat & doggy poop bags hanging out of my pocket but who cares!
Why Elmore Court?
The question is why NOT Elmore Court. Modern glamour meets traditional English heritage. For us, there was absolutely no way we weren’t getting married there!
Where Did Your Inspo Come From?
My main inspiration was actually Elmore's Instagram page, I had notifications switched on so every time they put a story or post up I would stalk and save!
How Did You Find The Planning?
We had 2.5 years to plan so it was relatively stress-free, my maid of honour brought me a beautiful personalised wedding planning book and it was a godsend! I don’t think you can use a pen and paper best. My husband is more of an Excel man!
We Loveeddd Your Gown, How Did You Chose It?
Wedding dress shopping was one of my favourite days of the build up to the wedding. I kept it low key with my mom and sister and have no regrets, I tried on a few different styles, but was drawn to the fishtail style, I think it really suits us mid size girls!
On The Morning Of The Big Day, How Did You Feel?
I am so laid back I just don’t remember feeling nervous at all. It was amazing to be with all my bridesmaids and mom getting ready together, having a 2 pm ceremony at Elmore is a dream as the morning goes so fast you just have to enjoy every second!
Give Us The Details Of The Ceremony?
We had a beautiful, short but meaningful ceremony where our closest friends and family watched us become husband and wife. The sun shone brightly through the gorgeous stained glass window & I just remember the room smelling so beautifully of our aisle meadow flowers!
Talk Us Through Your Drinks Reception?
We were able to enjoy our drinks reception outside, a beautiful sunny September day. Live music from the Cotswolds guitarist, Prosecco flowing and lots of congratulations cuddles from our nearest and dearest!
Wow, the food! We enjoyed a beautiful 3-course meal, a classic prawn cocktail followed by a beef rump & to finish the most amazing sticky toffee pudding. The food was fantastic!
What Did You Think Of The Gilly?
Happy tears! A special moment for us both seeing the Gilly for the first time, our vision was brought to life by our fantastic florist, Sally Gill. It was overwhelming to see all the little details I had pondered over for so many years right in front of my eyes!
First Dance?
We went for ‘Is this Love’ by Bob Marley.
What Were Your Highlights?
Absolutely for us was having everyone we love in the same room at the same time, my husband's family live in Perth, Australia so for them to have travelled literally across the world to be with us was so special.
And Finally... Who Helped Bring Your Magical Day To Life?
Our amazing suppliers, parents and friends, it took a village! But my gosh it was worth it.
